The Company remains conscious of its responsibility towards creating, maintaining and ensuring a safe and clean environment for sustainable development.
The Company’s sustainability strategy is based on four pillars, namely Creating Stakeholder Value, Safeguarding the Environment, Employee Well-being and Growth, and Supporting Communities.
The Company has set ambitious targets to improve its energy efficiency, emission intensity and water intensity by 2024-25.
• Prism Cement has set itself a target to reduce its emission intensity (Kg CO2 per tonne) of Clinker, OPC and PPC production by 5% each by 2024-25, against the baseline year of 2021-22.
• HRJ has adopted a target to improve energy efficiency by 10% by 2024-25, from the baseline year of 2021-22. Further, HRJ has revised up its target share of rainwater harvesting of total water consumption to 20% (as compared to 15% earlier).
• Prism RMC has adopted a target to improve its specific electricity consumption by 4% by 2024-25 from the baseline year of 2022-23. Additionally, Prism RMC has adopted a target to reduce the water intensity of its production process by 4% by 2024-25 against the baseline year of 2022-23.
